The Sinkhole in Land O’ Lakes, Florida Recently, a huge sinkhole in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, swallowed two homes, a boat, part of a road, and a driveway.  In addition, five other homes near the 225 foot sinkhole have been declared unsafe. According to statistics from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the number of motorcycle crashes, injuries and fatalities all increased last year in Florida. As the table shows, fatalities of both drivers and passengers increased significantly. Auto Accidents on the Rise in the Orlando Metropolitan Area As traffic has increased in the Greater Orlando area, so too has the number of crashes and injuries from accidents.
