Imran Malik Overview

In order to achieve this rating, Imran litigated cases throughout the State of Florida against some of the State's biggest insurance companies. This helped him earn a reputation as a seasoned litigator and a formidable opponent in the courtroom. His success in representing clients against insurance companies in particular has resulted in Imran's services sought out by client's throughout the State.
Areas of Practice
In the area of Homeowner’s insurance claims, Imran’s success in the Courtroom resulted in a change in the way insurance companies paid out these claims. Particularly, Imran has helped restoration contractor’s collect full payment directly from the carrier on any insurance related work. Prior to leaving his previous firm, Imran supervised and trained over ten attorneys in this area of practice alone. As such, his services are continually sought by contractor’s throughout the State.
In the field of personal injury, Imran has achieved substantial recoveries for clients that have been hurt as a result of car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls or because of the negligence of others. His most significant successes came from cases which other attorneys declined to accept due to their complexity and difficulty.
In the area of criminal defense, Imran has extensive experience representing individuals facing any type of criminal charge. Imran has handled numerous Misdemeanor, Felony and Traffic charges in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties. His experience in criminal law began during law school where Imran had the opportunity to work as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office, Ninth Judicial Circuit. During that time, Imran prosecuted various criminal matters. Now, he uses that experience to help in the defense of his clients.
Education
Imran has also served as law clerk to Circuit Court Judge Walter Komanski, of the Ninth Judicial Circuit. This experience provided Imran was a unique view from “behind the bench” where crucial experience was gained in how cases are properly presented to the Court and what Judges expect from attorneys practicing in their courtroom.
While in Law School, Imran was selected to the prestigious Moot Court Honors Board where he competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark and Unfair Competition, Moot Court Competition in 2006 and 2007. His performance at the 2006 competition earned him “Best Newcomer” on the Moot Court Honors Board 2006. Also, he was selected to serve as Vice Justice of the Honors Board for the 2006/2007 academic year. In 2007, Imran and his teammate achieved the second best overall brief and oral argument and third best oral advocacy team in the Southwest region of the competition.
Personal
Imran has had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world including numerous countries in Africa, Asia and Europe allowing him to be able to connect and communicate with people from all walks of life effectively. He lives in Orlando with his wife and enjoys playing in his soccer league and watching the Orlando Magic.
