Auto Accidents on the Rise in the Orlando Metropolitan Area
As traffic has increased in the Greater Orlando area, so too has the number of crashes and injuries from accidents. In fact, in the past three years, the number of total accidents and injuries has increased in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake Counties, as shown in the following chart.

In Seminole County, the number of crashes and injuries decreased between 2015 and 2016, but the number of fatalities (44) remained steady. Unfortunately, fatalities per year increased in three of the four counties between 2014 and 2016.
So far in 2017, 7490 people have been injured in traffic accidents across Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake Counties, and 74 have been killed.
