Leading Orlando Insurance Claim Law Firm Helps Hurricane Dorian Relief Supply Drive and Florida Property Insurance Policyholders

Malik Law P.A., a leading Orlando insurance claim law firm, helps clients throughout Florida get compensated fairly by their insurance companies when their property is damaged by wind, water, fire, hail, sink holes, and storms. The firm also helps communities in need of aid and insurance policyholders in need of advice.

Presently, Malik Law, along with other Orlando businesses, is serving as a donation drop-off point for a local Hurricane Dorian relief supply drive. The Category 5 hurricane hit the Bahamas last week, taking the lives of at least 50 people and leaving more than 70,000 homeless. While Bahamian security forces and volunteers continue searching for missing people, those who survived the storm need basic supplies to live.

Malik Law is collecting these basic supplies, such as nonperishable foods, hygiene products, tarps, and other items, at their office at 1061 Maitland Center Commons Blvd. in Maitland, Florida, and will make sure they get to the Bahamas.

Imran Malik also recently helped the local community by sharing advice for homeowners and businesses on a “Let’s Get Up to Business” podcast. The podcast series features interviews with small business owners, service providers, and area experts, who share their expertise with listeners.

In the September 6th podcast, Malik discusses what residential and commercial property owners can do now to protect themselves in case their property is damaged in the future.  Among other things, the insurance claim attorneys at Malik Law always recommend checking your property closely for damage and making necessary repairs as well as checking your insurance policy to make sure you have the coverage you need, especially for water damage and, in the case of businesses, for loss of business income while your property is being repaired.

For more specific advice on insurance policies or insurance claims, please call Malik Law at 407-500-1000. One of our experienced insurance claim attorneys will be glad to help you.

What to do now: do a visual check of the exterior of your home, be aware if shingles income and loss of business profit (can lead to disputes over what profit is because profit margins vary).
